Raffia is a natural fiber derived from the leaves of the raffia palm, which primarily grows in tropical Africa and certain regions of South America. This natural material is widely used in the artisanal production of our palmette fans. Each fan is handcrafted in Provence, honoring traditional techniques.

The raffia we use is sourced from the leaves of the raffia palm in Madagascar, which are dried, dyed if necessary, and then woven or braided to create threads and patterns. Valued for its durability, flexibility, and moisture resistance, these properties make it an ideal choice for crafting lightweight, long-lasting fans with a natural style.
